MAGNETIC HULL CONNECTOR
The Elastec Magnetic Hull Connector is used to attach a small oil containment boom to the hull of a ship or other flat metal surface, creating a tight seal. This allows responders to encircle a ship, containing the spread of oil and increasing the effectiveness of skimming operations.
Magnetic Hull Connector: The magnetic hull connector is used to temporarily couple a small oil containment boom to the hull of a ship or other flat metal surface and make an oil tight seal. One side of the unit is fitted with magnets, the other with an ASTM compliant boom connector. An over center handle at the top of the unit is used to release the magnets from the hull. A buoy attached with a lanyard prevents loss during handling. It is manufactured in marine grade aluminum with four or six magnets.
