ELASTEC FALL WORKSHOP 2024

SAVE THE DATE!
OCTOBER 8 – 10, 2024

An intensive, hands-on oil spill workshop. Our Fall Workshop was designed for spill responders who desire in-depth river booming and oil skimmer training. The three-day workshop begins with a full day of classroom orientation at Elastec in Carmi followed by two rigorous booming and skimmer deployment days on the Wabash River in New Harmony, Indiana. The FALL WORKSHOP qualifies as an 8-hour Hazwoper refresher course.

The price of the Fall Workshop 2024 is $1,650.00 and includes all workshop events, training and lunches. Travel and lodging are additional. First priority will be given to paid registrants as space is limited.

The 2024 instructor will be Cody Harris of Whitewater Rescue Institute.

Cody is Co-Founder of the Whitewater Rescue Institute (WRI).  At WRI, Cody leads a team of highly trained instructors and responders that specialize in Swiftwater, Technical Rescue and Oil Spill Response.  As an OSRO, WRI provides training, planning and effective response for its various clients.  Cody has responded to numerous spills to fast water throughout the western U.S. and Canada, and developed geographic response plans on over a dozen rivers.  For the past 16 years, WRI has been at the forefront of inland spill response and Cody loves to share what he has learned to make the response community stronger.

Note: The Safety and wellbeing of all the participants in the Elastec Workshops is very important to us. Course schedules, and possibly workshop dates can change if we feel the safety of our participants is compromised due to river flooding, weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Please plan your itineraries accordingly.
