TOWABLE BLADDER
Towable Bladders are temporary, collapsible liquid storage containers that can be used to store oil and other liquids on land or in water. Sizes ranging from 500 gal / 1,893 L to 3,500 gal / 13,249 L are available. They can be towed by boat, empty or full.
The Elastec Towable Bladder’s flotation is provided by Ethafoam panels, covered with yellow fabric. The tank body is also fabricated from oil and chemical resistant materials. Our tanks also feature twin tension members running down the sides of the bladder, consisting of vinyl coated, galvanized steel cables. Fill/drain ports and relief valve are standard.
Towing ends are comprised of heavy-duty aluminum connectors with aluminum back plate. A matching tow bridle is provided to tow the bladder from either end. It is supplied with tow bridle and carry bag.

Heavy-Duty Rubber Towable Bladder
The heavy-duty rubber towable bladder is a flexible, tube-shaped container designed to be towed by a vessel for transporting or temporarily storing bulk liquids such as oil, fuel, or freshwater, as well as for spill response applications. Constructed from durable rubber fabric, it provides a cost-effective alternative to rigid barges.
When full, the bladder rides mostly submerged, delivering excellent towing stability. Integrated foam-filled aluminum nose cone, and cross-stitched, high-pressure inflation chamber along the top of the bladder add buoyancy, and maintain proper trim. This solution is ideal for ship-to-shore transfers, and other locations.
