Elastec Is Celebrating 35 Years of Innovation!
Today, May 1, 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of Elastec’s founding, beginning our commitment to making innovative environmental solutions and keeping our world clean.
Since our founding in 1990 with the revolutionary drum oil skimmer, Elastec has been at the forefront of developing and manufacturing equipment to combat water pollution. What started with two guys, a bucket, and a dream, has grown to include a large line of equipment for oil spill response, floating debris collection, aquatic weed control, and more.
Over the past three and a half decades, we’ve achieved significant milestones, from winning the prestigious Wendy Schmidt Oil Cleanup X CHALLENGE with our Grooved Disc technology to earning a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the longest continuous burn of an oil spill at sea during the Deepwater Horizon incident. These achievements are a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation and effectiveness.
