Hydraulic Power Units

Elastec manufactures a wide range of hydraulic power units to operate boom reels, oil skimmers and pumps. These power units are available with both diesel or electric drives. The electric models may also be delivered in explosion-proof configuration for use in oil refineries and other hazardous locations. The new D23S is fully enclosed for sound attenuation in a water-resistant body with swing-up side doors for maintenance access.

Elastec has nearly twenty years experience building hydraulic power units for a variety of applications. Hundreds of our units are in use around the world. Our power units are engineered to provide peak performance from our oil skimmers. The compatible hydraulic system, with variable speed control, provides infinite drum speed and pump settings for maximum recovery and efficiency. Our engine driven units are portable and can also be used as a source of hydraulic power for operating other equipment.

We currently manufacture eight sizes from 3 hp / 2.2 kW up to 100 hp / 74 kW with a choice of hydraulic pumps and controls. We also offer ATV tires and tracks for towing in remote locations. Electric power units are available with TEFC or explosion-proof motors and starters. Electric power units can be matched to the electrical requirements of the installation.

Quiet diesel hydraulic power unit

The D23S Diesel Hydraulic Power Unit is mounted on a rugged, aluminum base frame that contains welded forklift pockets and a lifting configuration to facilitate shipping and positioning. It features foldable handles to assist mobility by one person. It can operate in environments from -20° to 120° F (-6° to 49° C). This power unit was designed for ruggedness, reliability, quiet operation, small size and ease of maintenance.

This unit can produce a constant hydraulic power output of between 12 and 13 gallons per minute at a system pressure of 2,400 psi, in an ambient condition of 120°F without engine or hydraulic system overheating. It is fully enclosed for sound attenuation in a water-resistant body with swing-up side doors for maintenance access.
