Platform Work Boat

The ELASTEC Platform Work Boat is manufactured at our Carmi, Illinois USA facility. Its rugged design allows for this versatile utility service barge to perform a variety of waterway maintenance and marina tasks. This vessel requires minimal upkeep as it has few moving parts and its propulsion is provided by a single outboard. Custom deck arrangements are available per your design or project specifications.

Platform Work Boat Characteristics

Designed for sheltered waters, ELASTEC Platform Boats are manufactured from high-quality marine-grade aluminum. The open deck arrangement and removable railings allow for an unobstructed workspace over the water. The all-aluminum hull and deck allow for project-specific equipment to be bolted or welded to the deck. Custom deck arrangements are available per your design or our design per your specifications.

Hull

  • Two pressure tested hulls constructed from 3/16 in / 4.7 mm marine-grade aluminum linked by traverse beams
  • Separate water-tight compartments
  • Four heavy duty aluminum deck welded mooring cleats
  • Zinc Anode Protection

Deck

The deck is 3/16 Marine Grade aluminum Diamond Tread. The subframe in constructed of 3 inch aluminum channel.

Railing

Removable (lift off) aluminum safety handrails, recessmounted to the hull for easy loading of wheel-on equipment/storage containers.

Fendering

Protective fendering constructed of solid 3 inch x 11/2 inch EDPM rubber runs horizontally below deck level and vertically at the bow of each hull.

Pilot / Crew Seating and Equipment Storage

Cushioned plastic molded helm seat with arms and two cushioned crew seats are affixed to a 12 ½ cubic foot storage bench.
