Biomedical waste incinerator in Papua New Guinea

Medical waste disposal in progressMedical waste management was a problem in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. In order to handle medical waste disposal from two health centers, eight Elastec Mediburn 30 incinerators were purchased and installed. The units will be used to eliminate biomedical waste for the people in the Western Highlands Province.

Environmentally safe, compact and easy to operate, MediBurn is a diesel-fueled medical waste incinerator for hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, blood banks, and veterinarians. Available in two sizes, the MediBurn is capable of disposing of up to 10.5 cu ft / 0.37 cu m batch-loads of infectious and pathological waste with a burn rate of 30 kg per hour. It incinerates everything from medical waste to animal remains with clean emissions.

Incinerator installed and ready to useThese incinerators require minimal training and are ready to use upon delivery. They only require a power supply connection and diesel fuel to operate. Equipped with automatic pre-set cycle control and thermostatic temperature control for efficient fuel consumption, the dual chamber design allows for temperatures in excess of 1000ºC (1832ºF).
