ShovelHead - floating suction oil skimmer head

The ShovelHead skimmer is a light, affordable floating suction head that can be attached to any suitable suction pump or vacuum unit - such as our Diaphragm or Peristaltic pumps / MiniVac or PACS vacuum trailer units.

The skimmer is fitted with a 3" / 7.6cm camlock fitting for rapid coupling to standard hose fittings. This robust suction skimmer head is manufactured in molded Polyethylene and Anodized Aluminum.

The ShovelHead can recover a variety of oils or liquids from the water surface and is best suited to calm conditions. The head can operate in minimal amounts of water due to a draft of only 2" / 50mm. The skimmer head can be easily opened in the field for maintenance or cleaning. Supplied with 3" hose float.
